Summer vibes.

I always run to a purple lippie because i’m so fair. It’s hard to go more natural when your skin doesnt have enough pigment. Jovani has a lovely soft purple and is creamy and feels good on the lips. It always feels good to have moisture on your lips when it’s so hot outside. I love changing up my lips. I feel it’s the most pigmented thing that people notice. Of course, you can have colorful shadows on, but this is just more simple for me. I used our new Precision Point liner with some Koko lashes, and that was enough for me. The flawless face kit did the rest along side my eye brow shadow “Trashed”.

Today, I did the requests I have been getting. I went with a more natural eye and focused on Skin. I used the Flawless face kit, meaning I used our HD Foundation, matching powder, as well as our concealer under my eyes. With a dash of bronzer (Gold Bake) and Blush (Sweet pea), my skin was all finished. Although, I did use a little of our eye shadow Chardonnay on my cheek bones and the bride of my nose to create that highlight<3
I filled in my eye brows with “trashed” eye shadow, added the lipstick “Sex Kitten,” and Bam! Donzo!

I went in with Kitty Cat shadow on the center of my eye, then using the mermaid pallet, I used the darkest purple on the inner eye as well as the outer. Our Crushed pigment “Pure” was placed in the absolute corner of my inner eye. In the center to give it more of a shimmer, I used our Pigment “BB Mobile. Under my eyes, I used Goth and Black Caviar liner.
Lips: Brick liner and Sex Kitten lipstick.

Prom ideas!

I tried to do something a little different than I have normally done for prom. I decided to use the color “plum” as my darkest shade in which I traced my eye lid, but never actually allowed that dark shade to appear on my actual lid. “Purest” loose pigment was then placed on the lid and between the gap I created in the middle of the liquid liner and the plum shadow. Because it was all too much one shade for me, I then added “Antique cooked” on top of the plum for that bit of rust tone. And of course, Candi Pink glitter.

Let’s talk skin!

Skin is always a tricky topic. It depends upon tone and what is a practical amount of makeup? Everything will depend on those questions. If you ever need someone to color match you, or teach you, you can certainly come in to see us. BUT, This brush has been really good to me. By dipping one edge into the Bronzer, it makes a template for you to do your bronzer correctly. Drawing a straight line from the middle of your ear down towards the corner of your mouth is the perfect way to begin. Then you can buff everything out with the flat surface! Love!

Today’s smokey eyes.

TODAY’S LOOK:
Today, I decided to do all of my foundation with a beauty blender. Both the liquid foundation and the powder. By Adding a little bit of “Beauty Juice” (A liquid substance) to the beauty blender, I was able to get a stronger pigment. I did the same to my bronzer, and it actually worked! The coverage was extremely smooth and looks like airbrush (Now, of course, I don’t get the benefits of the actual airbrush– Sweat and tear proof), and I thought it looked really clean.
In order to achieve a mild smokey eye, I went with the colors “ShortCake” (A light, shimmery pink), “Antique Cooked” (a rusty shimmer), and “Goth” (A mat black).
My lips are a combination of Seymour and PussyWhipper. The liner is a deep plum which allows a nice ombre.
Eye brows: Trashed- with an angle brush and I made them look more sharp by lining them with Eye and Lip Primer.

As for hair, I have the straightest hair. It’s borderline impossible to do much with. But I have dived into our hairspray and have made a new found love for it. It holds my hair in place without causing it to become crunchy. Love it!

Bronze.

Today’s inspration: Jasmine from Aladdin.
I always loved her liner, and of course, she had that beautiful flesh tone. So by using liner, I got a much darker appearance by using it both on top and bottom. I shaded my eyes with two shades of purple, both “DTB” and “Kitty Cat”, and using “ribbon” glitter, I was able to get this smoked out Bronze look. The glitter was placed on both the eye lid, and tracing under my bottom liner. My lips went for a more nude look by using the color “Sex Kitten”, but I also put my favorite purple lip “Seymour” in the center to add a purpleness to it without it being over powering.

LET’S TALK GLITTER,

12715480_575308829301253_2039110093291915739_n

I have been trying to dip into an area I normally don’t by using glitter. This bronze color “Ribbon” was perfect for a more seductive look. I loved this!

Glitter smokey eye.

Prom is just around the corner. It is never too early to start booking.

Today, I went with a smoked purple eye, and to enhance this look, glitter was added (upon request).  I was never a fan of glitter because I often times think it can change a look from sultry to juvenile. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. It added a bit extra to this look and made it more unique for me. I used all shades of purple for my eyes, and it was just enough to give me a nice smokey eye.

CANDI PINK glitter;;

The best way I’ve found to apply it is hairspray. I sprayed the table, dabbed my finger in it, placed it on my lid, then dabbed my finger in the glitter to apply it where I had put the hair spray. It stayed perfectly, and extremely easy to do. So much control when using your fingers. And this vile should last you forever and a day.

Because of how dark my eyes were, I thought I would ideally go a more neutral route. I’m not into gloss by any means, nor do I like gloss in my lipsticks. So going with a brown was the perfect compromise. I used a deep plum lip liner to make it more defined and that was enough for me! Making sure my contour was up to par was also a big part. I used a lighter bronze “Gold bake”, then using a dark one underneath “Dark bake”, and of course, my favorite blush, “excessive”.

Quick transformation.
Those who know me, I NEVER EVER post even close to a nakey face on facebook, but I do, in this case, think it’s perfectly acceptable to show the difference makeup can make.

Eyes Brows: I drew them on with an eye shadow “Trashed”. For me, they end up looking so much better this way. They’re extremely blended, and as dark as I want them to be.

Eyes: Kitty Cat, Plum, Kohl Liner, and Candi Pink.

Contour/blush: Gold Bake, Dark Bake, and excessive.

Lips: Sex Kitten, and deep plum liner.
